Ghanaian youngster, Solomon Kessi scored twice in their resounding victory over the weekend to continue with their fine start to the season.

The Blood and Golds humbled Valenciennes by 4-2 in match-week 8 of the French national U19 Championship.

The 18 year old opened the scoring account for the host on the 12th minute after nipping on a goalkeeping blunder to plot into the bottom corner.
 
Also, on the 35th minute, he made a close range connection into the back of the net from a decent cross to complete his brace. Their other scorers include Florian Dewaele and Yannick Sidibe whiles Yanis Pesin and Joachim Kayi Sanda got the consolation goals for the visitors.
 
Solomon, 18, has been outstanding since joining prior to the start of the season, having scored four goals in five matches so far, and is gradually establishing himself as one of the fans favourite at the Stade Daniel Leclercq.
 
RC Lens are currently sitting 3rd on the Championnat U19 standing with 19 points, having grinded six wins after eight round of matches. 
 
Solomon Kessi was an integral member of the T.I Ahmadiyyah SHS (Real Amass) squad that won the Ashanti Regional Inter-Schools soccer competition in 2018.
