Ghana striker Jonathan Sowah made a scoring start to his Simba SC career, netting in his side’s 2-0 friendly victory over Carabat FC on Monday as the Tanzanian giants continued their pre-season preparations in Egypt.

Sowah, who joined Simba from fellow Tanzanian side Singida Black Stars in the close season, came off the bench after the break and netted the second goal.

The 25-year-old played the entire second half as the Dar es Salaam-based club warmed up for the new football season.

Sowah had moved to Singida midway through last season from Libyan outfit Al Nasr, scoring 13 goals in as many league matches.

The former Medeama SC forward, Sowah has been signed to strengthen Simba’s attack ahead of the 2025/26 Tanzanian Premier League and CAF Champions League campaigns.
