Ghanaian winger Ernest Nuamah has been named in WhoScored’s Europa League Team of the Week following a standout performance for Olympique Lyonnais in their emphatic victory over FCSB.

The 21-year-old forward scored twice as Lyon cruised past the Romanian side to secure a spot in the quarter-finals of the competition.

His display earned him a WhoScored rating of 9.66, ranking him among the best performers of the week alongside Athletic Bilbao’s Nico Williams and Lyon teammate Georges Mikautadze.

Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes also made the Team of the Week after netting a hat-trick against Real Sociedad, with compatriot Diogo Dalot joining him in the lineup.

Fenerbahce’s Mert Muldur and PSG’s Milan Škriniar were selected as the central defensive pair, while Sebastian Szymański featured in midfield.

The best XI was completed by Yuri Berchiche and Hugo Ekitike, rounding off a strong selection of top performers from this week’s Europa League action.

Nuamah’s brace takes his tally to three goals in nine Europa League matches this season.

The Right to Dream Academy graduate has also earned a call-up to Ghana’s Black Stars squad for the upcoming 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Chad and Madagascar.
