Ghanaian attacker Augustine Boakye was on target in Wolfsberger AC five-goal thriller away win at WSG Tirol in the Austrian Bundesliga on Saturday evening.

Wolfsberger AC recorded their second win of the 2023/24 season after defeating WSG Tirol 3-2 in the match-week eight fixture at the Tivoli Stadion.

Boakye opened the scoring with a cool finish in the 7th minute of the game before Mohammed Bamba doubled the lead in the 48th minute.

Two quick goals from Julius Ertlthaler and Nik Prelec before the hour-mark restored the parity of the game but a late penalty converted by Bernhard Zimmermann aided Wolfsberger AC to pick all the three points.

The former WAFA talismanic forward lasted for 81 minutes before he was replaced by Thorsten Rocher.

Boakye has scored two goals and provided an assist in 7 appearances for Wolfsberger AC this season so far.
