Ghana midfielder Elisha Owusu opened his season's scoring account for AJ Auxerre in their away victory over AS Troyes in the French Ligue 2 on Saturday.
Owusu scored the match-winner to hand his side a 2-1 convincing win at the Stade de l'Aube against AS Troyes.
AJ Auxerre took the lead in the 21st minute after Niakhate Ndiaye had scored an own goal before his teammate Jaures Assoumou levelled for the home side.
The Ghana midfielder was introduced into the match as replacement for Gauthier Hein on the 75th minute of the game.
During the stoppage, Owusu brilliantly snatched all the three maximum points for AJ Auxerre with his strike from a pass delivered by Gaetan Perrin.
He was in action with his compatriot Gideon Mensah, who lasted for the entire duration of the game.
Owusu has now scored one goal and provided an assist in 7 games for AJ Auxerre this season so far.
