Former Ghana youth international Prince Kwabena Adu was on target again for Viktoria Plzen in their home win over Real Sociedad in the UEFA Europa League on Thursday evening.

Viktoria Plzen recorded their first victory of the 2024/25 UEFA Europa League with a 2-1 victory over the La Liga club to extend their unbeaten streak to four games in the competition.

The 21-year-old opened the scoring for the home side with a beautiful finish in the 13th minute to silence the away fans at the Doosan Arena.

Before the end of the first half, Real Sociedad snatched the equalizer through Orri Óskarsson after brilliantly connecting a pass from Mikel Oyarzabal in the 35th minute.

Czech Republic international Daniel Vasulin, who had replaced Kwabena Adu in the 88th minute, secured the three maximum points for Viktoria Plzen with his strike after just two minutes of his introduction.

Kwabena Adu has now scored six goals and provided an assist in 12 appearance across all competitions for Viktoria Plzen in his debut season.

The former Bechem United attacker joined the Viktoria Plzen from Ukrainian side Kryvbas FC for a transfer fee around €700,000 during the summer transfer window.

He has a contract until the summer of 2027.
