Swiss Challenge League side Aarau have confirmed that Ghanaian central defender David Acquah has had his contract automatically extended for one year, keeping him at the club until June 30, 2027.
Acquah, 24, joined Aarau from Israel over two years ago and quickly established himself as a key figure in the starting lineup during the 2024/25 season. Known for his physicality and fearless defending, he has become a cornerstone of Aarau’s backline.
Since his arrival, Acquah has made 68 appearances for the club, demonstrating remarkable consistency. This season alone, he has missed just one competitive match, serving a suspension after accumulating a yellow card.
The extension underscores the club’s confidence in Acquah’s importance to their defensive structure and his continued contribution as they aim for success in the Swiss Challenge League.
