German-born Ghanaian defender Derrick Kohn delivered an outstanding performance to help Galatasaray defeat Konyaspor 3-1 on the final day, clinching the Turkish Super Lig title.
The 25-year-old left-back played the full match at the Medaş Konya Büyükşehir Stadyumu, contributing significantly to his team's success. Kohn assisted Mauro Icardi to open the scoring in the 29th minute, giving Galatasaray an early advantage.
Icardi scored again after the break to double Galatasaray's lead, followed by a goal from Berkan Kutlu, sealing the victory for the visitors. Although Denmark international Louka Prip pulled one back for Konyaspor, the match ended 3-1 in favor of Galatasaray.
The title race came down to the final day due to a narrow points gap between Galatasaray and Fenerbahçe. Galatasaray were three points ahead before the last matchday, and their win secured the championship with 102 points after 38 matches.
Kohn, who joined Galatasaray from Hannover 96 in February 2024 on a contract running until 2026, made 12 league appearances, scoring one goal and providing one assist.
