Ghanaian international Jerome Opoku delivered an impressive performance for İstanbul Başakşehir in their 5-2 triumph over Antalyaspor in the Turkish Super Lig on Sunday.
The Black Stars center-back played a crucial role in the heart of the defense and contributed offensively by assisting Krzysztof Piątek's goal in the 80th minute, helping his team secure a commanding victory before the September international break.
The match began with a setback for Başakşehir as Sam Larsson scored for Antalyaspor just two minutes in, and then doubled the visitors' lead in the 41st minute with another strike. However, İstanbul Başakşehir found their way back into the game thanks to a goal from João Figueiredo just before halftime.
In the second half, Krzysztof Piątek took over, netting a hat-trick to turn the tide in Başakşehir's favor. Deniz Türüç added a goal to complete the comeback, sealing an emphatic win for the hosts.
Opoku's solid defensive display and key assist were vital in securing the three points, further establishing him as a key player for Başakşehir this season.
