The right-back, who came close to joining Italian giants AS Roma during the summer, has emerged as a target for the English top-flight outfit ahead of the winter transfer window
English Premier League side Wolverhampton Wanderers FC are reportedly interested in signing Austrian-born Ghanaian defender Kevin Danso from French Ligue 1 side RC Lens, a report from the English media has indicated.
The 26-year-old former FC Augsburg defender is likely to be moved on by his current employers in this January transfer window to suitors and has now been tipped to link up with the Molineux Stadium campaigners in the coming days.
According to Sky Sports, Wolves are eager to bolster their defensive line options with the signing of the Ghanaian stopper in an effort to complement the backline set-up of manager Vitor Pereira.
Danso is not new to the English top-flight competitions after having a loan stint with Southampton during the 2019/20 football season.
Nonetheless, his services would not come cheap for the Old Gold as they need to cough up an amount of 25 million euros for his services as per his current transfermarkt valuation.
He has so far featured in 10 league games for RC Lens in this current French Ligue 1 2024-25 football campaign.
Born and raised to Ghanaian parents in Austria, Danso remains ineligible to represent Ghana at the international level as he's been cap-tied by the Austrian senior national team.
