Portuguese Premiera Liga side, Rio Ave FC have parted ways with Ghanaian duo Abdul Aziz Yakubu and Emmanuel Boateng and thanked them for their services
Both players enjoyed a fantastic spell with the Green and Whites with Aziz spending three years, while Boateng also spent two years at the Estádio dos Arcos.
In the just ended season, Abdul Aziz Yakubu was instrumental having netted six goals and created two assists in sixteen matches to help the Rioavistas maintain their status in the topflight.
His compatriot Emmanuel Boateng on the other hand, also contributed to 9 goals in the league; having netted 7 and assisted 2 in 27 appearances.
Both players after the release are now unattached and at liberty to join any club of their choice.
Rio Ave FC missed out on European football next season having finished the 2023/24 season on the 11th position with 37 points.
