Ghanaian duo Jalal Abdulai and Michael Baidoo were on target to help IF Elfsborg to record a win over FC Sheriff in the UEFA Europa League qualification playoffs on thi evening.
Swedish Allsvenskan side IF Elfsborg has advanced to the next round of the 2024–25 UEFA Europa League qualification playoffs on a 3-0 aggregate after a 2-0 win over FC Sheriff of Moldova in the second leg tie at the Boraas Arena.
Former Inter Allies striker Jalal Abdulai continued his blistering performances for the Yellow and Black lads with a fine strike in the 2nd minute to open the scoring before his compatriot sealed their victory in the second half.
Baidoo, who has been a top performer for IF Elfsborg since last season, doubled their lead with a superb effort via a pass from Simon Hedlund in the 73rd minute of the game.
The two scorers enjoyed the entire duration of the game with a five-star performance with Terry Yegbe, who also displayed a stellar performance at the back line for IF Elfsborg in their 2-0 win over FC Sheriff.
IF Elfsborg will now face either HNK Rijeka or CS Corvinul Hunedoara in the next round of the 2024–25 UEFA Europa League qualification playoffs.
Baidoo has scored six goals and provided six assists in 20 appearances for IF Elfsborg across all competitions this season so far while Jalal Abdulai has also netted six goals in 16 matches for the club in the ongoing season.
