Two rising Ghanaian prospects, Prince Amoako Jr and Douglas Owusu, have been ranked among the top 10 U20 forwards excelling outside Europe’s top five leagues, according to the CIES Football Observatory.

Amoako Jr, who joined FC Nordsjaelland this season, has made an instant impact in the Danish Superliga. Despite only beginning his professional career in July, the 19-year-old has already scored three goals and provided one assist in five matches, earning him a Young Player of the Month nomination. His impressive form has also seen him become a regular starter for the “Wild Tigers.” Rated 69.5, Amoako Jr sits fourth on the CIES list.

Meanwhile, Douglas Owusu has been instrumental in Radnicki Surdulica’s return to the Serbian SuperLiga. After playing a key role in their promotion last season, the Ghanaian forward has continued to shine in the top flight, making seven league appearances so far. With a rating of 67.4, Owusu ranks ninth on the list.

The recognition highlights the growing influence of Ghanaian youngsters making waves outside the traditional European power leagues, showcasing their potential on bigger stages in the near future.
