Ghanaian striker, Bernard Tekpetey has been named as the 2022 Best Foreign Player in Bulgaria at the 62nd Football Awards.

The 25-year-old was awarded with the prestigious prize after an impressive performance in the last calendar year for Ludogorets.

 
In the colourful event in Sofia, Bernard Tekpetey was elated to have received the coveted award.
 
Tekpetey has nine goals plus six assists, including two in the Europa league, in twenty-six games for Ludogorets in the ongoing season.
 
The former Schalke forward is crucial to Ludogorets push to usurp CSKA Sofia, who are one-point ahead of Ludogorets, at the summit of the Bulgarian top-flight after eighteen games.
 
He has revived his career with consistent stupendous performances since joining Ludogorets from German Bundesliga outfit Schalke in the 2020/21 season.
 
Bernard Tekpetey was tipped to join the Black Stars to the World Cup later last year but missed out from Otto Addo's final squad.
