Ghanaian forward Brandon Thomas-Asante produced a brilliant display for Coventry City, scoring a decisive goal to help his side secure a 2-0 victory over Blackburn Rovers in the English Championship on Saturday afternoon.

Making his return from international duty with the Black Stars, Thomas-Asante featured for the full 90 minutes at the Coventry Building Society Arena, playing a key role as the Sky Blues earned all three points in their Round 10 encounter.

After a tightly contested first half that ended goalless, Coventry came out stronger in the second period. Victor Torp broke the deadlock in the 57th minute, before Thomas-Asante doubled the lead just three minutes later, finishing off a fine attacking move to seal the victory.

The 26-year-old Ghanaian has been in scintillating form this season, with six goals and three assists in ten league appearances, underlining his growing influence in Coventry’s attack.

His sharp finishing, work rate, and consistency continue to make him one of the standout performers in the Championship, while also strengthening his case for a regular spot in Ghana’s squad ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
