Ghanaian youngster Douglas Owusu was the hero for FK Radnik Surdulica, scoring a late penalty to secure a 1–1 away draw against Čukarički in the Serbian Super Liga on Saturday.

The 19-year-old attacker started and completed the full 90 minutes as Radnik battled to earn a valuable point in the Matchday 19 encounter at the Stadion na Banovom brdu.

Čukarički took the lead in the 19th minute when Aboubacar Cissé finished off a well-worked move after an assist from Bojica Nikčević, sending the hosts into the break with a slender advantage.

The home side appeared on course for victory until Owusu stepped up in the 80th minute, calmly converting from the penalty spot to restore parity for Radnik Surdulica.

Owusu has enjoyed an impressive campaign since the start of the season, netting six goals in 19 league appearances, and continues to grow in influence.

The highly-rated forward joined Radnik Surdulica in 2024 and has since established himself as a key figure in the club’s attacking setup.
