Ghanaian forward Grejohn Kyei set for Royal Charleroi loan move

The 29-year-old is set to join the Belgian top-tier side on a season-long loan deal ahead of tonight's transfer deadline day in Belgium

Belgian Pro League side Royal Charleroi are on the verge of securing the loan services of Ghanaian striker Grejohn Kyei from fellow top-flight side Standard Liège.

 The former Stade Reims frontman, who joined the Liège-based club on a three-year deal in the just ended window, is set to be moved on by his current employers given the frosty relationship with his manager Ivan Leko so far this term.

 Reports from the Belgian media have indicated that an agreement over the loan move is already in place and the deal is expected to be sealed ahead of the closure of the transfer window tonight in Belgium.

Kyei has so far figured in 6 league games for Standard Liège in the ongoing Jupiler Pro League 24/25 campaign.

Given his Ghanaian heritage, he remains qualified to play for Ghana at the international level despite playing for the French U21 national youth team.
