Ghanaian forward Patrick Agyemang lit up the Major League Soccer (MLS) with a stunning second-half brace, leading Charlotte FC to a thrilling 2-0 victory over Philadelphia Union.
The 23-year-old US-born Ghanaian opened the scoring with a majestic header in the 56th minute, before adding his second with an incredible solo effort just seven minutes later.
Agyemang's first goal came when he headed home a Jere Uronen cross 11 minutes into the second half. His second goal was a masterclass individual effort, as he picked up a long pass from Liel Abada, executed a quick stepover, and fired a shot past the Philadelphia goalkeeper from the edge of the box.
Agyemang's impressive display earned him Man of the Match honors, and his second goal has been nominated for Goal of the Week.
The former RI Rams player has now scored five goals and delivered two assists in 19 matches this season, helping Charlotte FC climb to fourth in the Eastern Conference table.
