The Blades have announced that Jordan Yamoah Amissah will leave the club this summer.
Amissah, who is one the longest serving players at the club won't have his contract renewed upon the expiry of his current deal in June.
Sheffield United were relegated from the Premier League this season and will once again play their football in the Championship next campaign.
At 22-years-old, Jordan Yamoah Amissah might find the gruelling nature of a 46 game Championship season a good opportunity, but perhaps deemed too much of a risk to stay on as he has failed to command a starting berth with the senior team.
During his time at the Blades, Amissah has had loan spells with Guiseley and Spennymoor Town in the English National League, as well as Burton Albion in League One.
The former FC Schalke 04 and Borussia Dortmund youth prospect was part of the Black Meteors squad that participated in the 2023 CAF U23 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
