The promising midfielder has been included in the Bianconeri matchday squad list for their away trip to face US Lecce on Sunday evening.

Italian-born of Ghanaian descent, Augusto Seedorf Owusu has been named in the Juventus traveling squad for the Serie A match-week 14 game against Lecce at the Stadio Via del Mare.

Owusu was among the five youngsters from the Juventus Next Gen team invited to join the senior team by coach Thiago Motta due to the unavailability of nine first-team players due to injuries.

The list includes Dusan Vlahovic, Weston McKennie, Douglas Luiz, Nico Gonzalez, and Vasilije Adzic, while Nicolo Savona was the latest to forfeit after suffering a slight muscle knock in the Champions League fixture at Villa Park.

Moreover, the Bianconeri have been without Arkadiusz Milik since the start of the season. The Pole is expected to return to training in the middle of the month. On the other hand, Juan Cabal and Gleison Bremer could be out for the remainder of the season with ACL injuries.

The five young players from the Juventus Next Gen invited to the first team by Thiago Motta are Filippo Pagnucco, Alfonso Montero, Diego Pugno, Christos Papadopoulos, and Augusto Owusu.

The 19-year-old midfielder, who was born to Ghanaian parents in Italy, was drafted into the Juventus Next Gen team ahead of the 2024–25 season after a successful loan spell at Reggiana.

Owusu rose through the ranks of the Italian Serie A powerhouse after joining them at age seven. He was handed a contract by Juventus until the summer of 2027, prior to the commencement of this season's campaign.

Augusto Seedorf Owusu tipped as the next midfield gem in Italian football

Owusu is currently making waves with the Juventus Next Gen and will be playing an instrumental role for his side in the 2024-25 football campaign in the Italian Serie C contest.

The 19-year-old Ghana prospect has been a revelation so far at the youth ranks of Juventus, making 12 league appearances in the ongoing season.

Given his Ghanaian heritage, he still remains eligible to represent Ghana at the international level.
