Ghanaian midfielder Abdul Wahab Hanan has completed a move to Bahraini Premier League champions Al Muharraq SC ahead of the 2025/26 season.
The 27-year-old joins the Red Wolf from fellow rivals Al Shabab Club, with the Bahraini club confirming the deal in a statement on social media: “Muharraq Club has signed the player Abdulwahab Hanlan to join the first football team, coming from Al-Shabab Club.”
Hanan, who previously featured for Ghana Division One League side Legon Cities, spent several seasons in Portugal, playing for for SC Covilhã, Loures, and Moncarapachense.
“My ambition with the club is to help them to continue to win trophies,” Hanan said in his first interview with the club.
He will wear the number 15 jersey in honour of his father, whom he described as a key inspiration.
Al Muharraq are aiming to defend their league title when the new Bahraini season kicks off later this year.
