The talented forward has joined the Danish second division side on a loan basis until the end of the new football season

Ghanaian striker Richmond Gyamfi has completed his loan switch to Danish 1st Division side Esbjerg fB from top-flight side Aarhus GF, the club have announced.

The 20-year-old is now set to spend the entire 2025-26 season on yet another loan spell with the Blue Water Arena campaigners.

"Esbjerg fB strengthens its front line with the arrival of 20-year-old Richmond Gyamfi, as the offensive x-factor player will be playing in blue and white for the rest of the season. The Ghanaian is on loan at AGF, and has previously played in the Betinia Liga for Hobro IK," a statement read.

"Richmond Gyamfi is a new offensive player in Esbjerg fB, as the 20-year-old Ghanaian joins on a loan deal from AGF until the summer of 2026. The striker really made his name in Danish football when he played for Hobro IK, which paved the way for a club change to the 3F Superliga club from Aarhus."

Gyamfi said he is happy about his loan switch to EfB, telling the club's website: " I am very happy about the move to EfB, which is a big club with a good project. In my talks with the club, I have been confirmed that it is the right next step for me and my development, and I am really looking forward to getting started with the team and meeting the fans."

Sporting director Sebastian Brydegaard added: "With Richmond Gyamfi, we are getting a really talented offensive player into the squad from the Super League, who can cover several positions on both the wing and in attack. He is a player who will give our coaching team greater flexibility in terms of the way we can challenge and attack the opponents."

He continued; "Richmond is a player with explosive speed, great dribbling skills and enormous aggression. At the same time, he works very hard for the team in the pressing game, which fits perfectly into the identity we are building. Gyamfi has already shown his worth as a player who can decide matches in the Betinia League, so there is no doubt that he will sharpen the quality of our squad and our competitiveness in the league.

" We have initially agreed on a one-year deal, which gives both parties the opportunity to see each other. But right now we are looking forward to getting started with the collaboration and seeing him unfold on the training pitch. Time will tell if this is the start of a long-term partnership.

Gyamfi is yet to earn his international cap with the Ghana Senior Men's National Team, the Black Stars.
