The Danish elite outfit have secured the signature of the sensational budding star of Gambian descent from the Finnish lowly division side for their academy system
Finland-born Gambian teen Kevin Jarju has joined Superliga club Brøndby IF from Finnish Kakkonen side FC Honka, the club have announced.
The 16-year-old highly-rated wonderkid, who courted the attention of a host of admirers this summer, has now committed his future on a long-term contract with the Brøndby Stadium campaigners and would be spending time with the U17 youth ranks for the 2026/27 football season.

ln announcing the capturing of the Gambian-prospect starlet, the Drengene Fra Vestegnen has said in a statement via their club's official website: ''This summer, Brøndby IF can welcome another exciting talent to the Brøndby Masterclass when Finnish Kevin Jarju moves to the academy from FC Honka.
''Kevin Jarju, who has just celebrated his 16th birthday, is a midfielder and has been capped six times for the Finnish U16 national team. With his performances and potential, Kevin has attracted attention outside his home country, and this has now resulted in a move to Vestegnen.
''Brøndby Masterclass looks forward to continuing to work with Kevin Jarju's development when he enters the environment at Vestegnen this summer.''
''When Kevin Jarju arrives at the club this summer, he will be part of the start of the season with our U17 team in the Brøndby Masterclass.''
Head of recruitment at Brøndby Masterclass Jens Mikkel Frølunde has told his club's website: '' ln Jarju is a talented midfielder with great potential. He combines composure and overview with creativity, and he can control the pace of the game both offensively and in the build-up phase. With his great ball security, his strong drive and the ability to find solutions in small areas, he adds quality centrally on the pitch.

''Kevin has been sought after by several clubs, and that is why we are also very happy that he has chosen Brøndby. It says a lot about the strength of our talent environment and the direction we are working with in Brøndby Masterclass.''
Given his Gambian heritage, the talented rising midfielder could become a future cornerstone for the Gambia national football team at the senior level very soon despite featuring for the Finland U16 national youth team.
