The 17-year-old budding defender of Congolese descent has been handed his first official deal by the French second tier outfit given his promising talent as an upcoming youngster
French-born Congelese starlet Evan Letrouit has signed his first professional contract with Ligue 2 club EA Guingamp, the club have confirmed.
The talented centre-back, who has impressed massively with EA Guingamp U19 setup in the just ended campaign, has now been tied down to a three-year contract, with an option of a further two-year extension upon the expiration of the current deal.
The Red and Blacks confirmed the first PRO contract of the DR Congo-prospect rearguard in a statement that reads: ''En Avant Guingamp is delighted to announce the signing of Evan Letrouit's first professional contract. He has committed to the club for the next three seasons, with an option for two more.
''Born in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo, Evan Letrouit grew up in Dinard before taking his first steps in youth football at CS Bégard. He then joined En Avant Guingamp, where he continued his development within the academy.
''This season, the Kinshasa native played with the U19 National team and distinguished himself by scoring three goals in fifteen appearances. Furthermore, a regular starter in every match, Evan also contributed to Guingamp's impressive run in the Coupe Gambardella, notably scoring a decisive goal in the first federal round against Alençon.''
Letrouit had this to say right after inking his fresh terms, telling the club's official website: ''I’m very happy because it’s a dream for many children and I’m realizing it today. But this is just the beginning; it’s up to me now.”
He took in 20 appearances for EA Guingamp U19 across all competitions in the just finished 2025/26 football season.
Given his Congolese descent, the sensational budding centre-back could soon become a future prospect for the DR Congo national team at the senior level.
