The Goodison Park outfit have emerged as the frontrunners for the signature of the 25-year-old winger of Ghanaian heritage ahead of the upcoming transfer window 

Premier League club Everton are leading the race to sign German-Ghanaian winger Jamie Leweling from Bundesliga side  VfB Stuttgart, per multiple reports from the German media.

The former Union Berlin wideman is currently hot on the wishlist of leading European clubs such as; AS Roma, Juventus, and  Bournemouth all expressing concrete interest in his services ahead of the start of the 2026/27 season. 

According to German football publication outlet Fussballdaten, Everton are now in pole position of landing the attacking midfielder after opening an initial talks with both his representative and VfB Stuttgart over his potential signing this summer.

Per Sky Deutschland, those in charge of administrative affairs at the MHPArena are now prepared to part ways with their star man if a transfer fee of €50 million is tabled for his signature, with sporting director Fabian Wohlgemuth now ready to cash in on him after rejecting offers for his services during the winter transfer window.

Leweling has established himself as the focal point in the setup of manager Sebastian Hoeneß after taking in 50 appearances by scoring 11 and assisting 12 for VfB across all competitions in this just ended campaign.

He remains unfit to represent Ghana on the international stage after playing for the Germany senior national football team, with four caps to his name in his footballing career so far. He has made the cut for the Germany 26-man squad for the 2026 World Cup.
