The 22-year-old striker of Ghanaian origin has extended his stay with the German fifth tier campaigners ahead of the forthcoming summer transfer window

German-born Ghanaian youngster Maximilian Agyekum has signed a one-year contract extension with Oberliga club OSC Vellmar for the 2026/27 football season, the club have announced.

The former Mainz 05 U17 star, who teamed up with the Sportplatz Heckershäuser Straße outfit in the summer of 2023, has now been rewarded with a new deal over an extension after living up to his expectations at the Vellmar-based club in the German lowly division contests so far.

The multi-sport club took to their micro-blogging platforms to announce their fresh term over a renewal with the Ghana-prospect youngster ahead of the new football campaign.

Agyekum took in 29 appearances by netting 8 times and assisting 9 for OSC Vellmar in the just concluded Verbandsliga Hessen-Nord season.

Given his Ghanaian heritage, the starlet remains eligible to switch nationality and represent Ghana at the senior level on the international stage.
