Ghanaian teenager Manuel Ayitey has signed his first professional contract with Spanish La Liga giants Villarreal CF, the club have announced.
The 2006 UEFA Champions League semi-finalists, known for their talent development, handed a two-year contract to the Ghanaian budding star and would be spending time with the U21 setup for the 2026/27 football season.
The left-footed nimble youngster caught the attention of the Villarreal-based club recruitment department with his dazzling performances as a youth star during his time with lowly division clubs FC Marbellí and CD Pozoblanco in the Tercera Federación contest.

Right after appending his signature to the deal, Ayitey took to his official social media platform lnstagram to thank God and express his profound gratitude to Villarreal CF management for handing him his first PRO contract as a teenager.
''Firstly I thank the almighty God and secondly I am grateful for the opportunity given me@villarreal for my first professional contract with you. New chapter, new badge,same hunger…Time to make history.''
Ayitey would now be closely monitored by the Ghana FA technical team from afar in an effort to integrate him into the Black Stars team in the nearest future.
