Ghanaian midfielder Emmanuel Boateng sustained an injury in IF Elfsborg away victory over IFK Norrköping in the Swedish Allsvenskan on Monday evening.

Boateng, who recently returned from a one-month suspension, was stretched off after going down on the 13 minutes in today's game against IFK Norrköping.

The 25-year-old was replaced by Swedish international Noah Soderberg after the medical team signalled his unavailability for the remaining minutes of the fixture.

The home side opened the score through Arnor Sigurdsson on the 28th minute before Jeppe Okkels levelled the score for IF Elfsborg on the 75th minute of the game.

IF Elfsborg picked all the three maximum points when Arnor Traustason scored at a wrong net on the 85th minute.

Boateng was slapped with a one-month suspension by IF Elfsborg for disciplinary issues and joined the team few weeks ago.

He has made five appearances in the Swedish Allsvenskan this season so far.
