Turkish giants Besiktas have joined the race to sign Ghanaian defender Daniel Amartey and are willing to lure him in the summer transfer window.

The 28 year old Leicester City defender, begun the season on a higher note and commanded so much playing time at the start but things have suddenly turned upside down and is looking very awkward at the moment.

The lanky center-back has made 22 appearances in all competitions so far this season for the Foxes but is struggling to make the line up this time under Dean Smith- who succeeded out-gone Brendan Rodgers.

Earlier speculations has it that, current Italian champions A.C Milan have shown strong interest in acquiring the signature of the versatile defender and will have to battle some clubs for that in few months to come.

The latest club to join the chase is Besiktas and have already begun negotiations with the stalwart defender and are hopeful of beating other competitors to the title.

His contract with the 2016 Premier League champions will end in June and there's no possibility of him extending his stay at the King Power Stadium.
