Ghanaian midfielder Majeed Ashimeru has addressed the speculation surrounding his future amidst interest from several top European clubs, emphasizing his focus on Anderlecht.

In an interview with La Dernière Heure, Ashimeru stated, "I only think about Anderlecht." Despite attracting attention from clubs like Eintracht Frankfurt and Borussia Monchengladbach, he remains committed to his current team.

Acknowledging the ever-changing nature of football, Ashimeru expressed his immediate plans. He said, "After fulfilling my national team obligations, I will return directly to the club to start the new season."

Ashimeru joined Anderlecht permanently in 2021 and has faced a mix of performances due to injuries. He has shown glimpses of his potential while also encountering challenges, mirroring his time under the management of Vincent Kompany.

Presently, Ashimeru is with the Ghanaian national team, the Black Stars, in Madagascar for a 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier scheduled for Sunday.

With a contract that extends until 2025, Ashimeru's focused mindset brings stability to Anderlecht as they prepare for the upcoming season.

Despite interest from top European clubs, his primary concern remains representing and contributing to Anderlecht's success.
