Ghanaian talent Ernest Nuamah once again showcased his scoring prowess in the Danish Superliga as FC Nordsjaelland secured a crucial victory over Randers FC, boosting their chances of winning the title.
In a highly anticipated match at the Right to Dream Academy Park, Nordsjaelland emerged victorious with a 3-1 scoreline, scoring one goal in the first half and two in the second.
The breakthrough came in the 35th minute when Swedish forward Benjamin Nygren found the back of the net, giving the hosts an early lead.
However, Randers quickly responded and equalized through midfielder Lasse Berg Johnsen's successful penalty conversion.
Undeterred, Nordsjaelland regained their advantage in the 73rd minute when Ernest Nuamah confidently converted a penalty kick, marking his third goal in the last four games.
To seal the victory, Ivorian midfielder Mohammed Diomande struck in the 83rd minute, extending Nordsjaelland's lead and securing three crucial points.
With the win, Nordsjaelland currently sits in second place in the league standings, trailing the leaders FC Copenhagen by just one point, with two matches left in the season.
The 20-year-old Nuamah has been instrumental for Nordsjaelland this season, contributing 11 goals and four assists in 28 appearances in the Danish top division. He has also demonstrated his scoring ability in the Landspokal Cup, netting three goals in four games.
