Ghana youth attacking midfielder Kwame Poku scored his fifth goal of the season for Peterborough United in the English League One.

Peterborough United returned to winning ways after inflicting a 3-0 home defeat on Morecambe FC in an epic clash at the Mazuma Stadium.

Peterborough United condemned the host to a home loss within 30 minutes of the the game. Jack Taylor and Joe Ward scored for the visitors on the 12th and 22nd minute respectively.
 
Poku registered his name on the score sheet with a fine strike on the 29th minute of the game.
 
The 21-year-old lasted for 62 minutes of the game action before he was replaced by Ben Thompson.
 
Poku, who was born to Ghanaian parents in England, has scored five goals and provided seven assists in 27 matches for Peterborough United across all competitions.
 
He has already made his debut for the senior national team of Ghana when the Black Stars defeated São Tomé and Príncipe 3-1 at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium.
 
Poku has also featured twice for Ghana at the U23 level and expected to make the Black Meteors team for the 2023 Africa U-23 Cup of Nations qualification under coach Ibrahim Tanko.
