Ghanaian youngster Abdul Aziz Issah had a dream come true after training with FC Barcelona's first team for the first time and meeting his idol, Lamine Yamal.

Issah, who is on a season-long loan from Dreams FC to Barcelona’s reserve team, Barca Atletic, trained alongside the senior squad on Saturday.

The 19-year-old forward, alongside compatriot David Oduro, received the call-up from Barcelona manager Hansi Flick, giving them the opportunity to experience first-team action. Issah, who previously expressed admiration for Spain’s Euro 2024 hero Yamal, finally met and shared a moment with the 17-year-old star at the club’s training camp.

Issah joined Barca Atletic after an impressive spell in the CAF Confederation Cup, where he was one of the standout performers. His style of play has often been compared to Yamal’s, and now, after training with the senior squad, Issah's chances of breaking into Barcelona’s first team seem more realistic.

The young Ghanaian is yet to make his Barca Atletic debut but is being closely watched by the club's technical team. Should he continue to impress, Issah could find himself earning a permanent contract with the Catalan giants at the end of his loan spell.
