Black Stars forward Inaki Williams has earned a place in Sofascore's La Liga Team of the Week. Inaki Williams found the net in Athletic Bilbao's 3-0 victory over Cadiz on Saturday afternoon.
Williams was in the starting lineup at the San Mamés Barria and played the entire 90 minutes. Unfortunately, his brother Nico Williams couldn't participate due to injury.
Heading into the game, Athletic Club had four wins against Cadiz's two in their head-to-head record, with no draws.
The home team maintained the lion's share of possession throughout the match.
The opening goal came in the 66th minute when Gorka Guruzeta headed the ball into the bottom left corner from very close range, with Óscar De Marcos providing the assist with a cross.
Two minutes later, in the 68th minute, Asier Villalibre's close-range header found the bottom right corner, doubling Athletic Club's lead.
In the 77th minute, Inaki Williams had an opportunity to make it 3-0, but his attempt was saved.
Williams finally found the back of the net in the 90th minute with a right-footed shot from the left side of the six-yard box, assisted by Asier Villalibre, who headed the ball.
Bilbao's next league match will be against Deportivo Alaves.
