Southampton manager, Russell Martin is very pleased with the availability of Ghanaian winger Kamaldeen Sulemana after his red card in their last game was rescinded.
The 21-year-old has been battling injuries since the end of last season including some setbacks but has finally recovered fully and played his first game of the 2023/24 season against Leicester City over the weekend- a tie they lost by 1-4.
Despite being introduced in the game in the opening minutes of the second half, the mercurial winger was red carded on the 97th minute after what looked like a harsh tackle on James Justin.
He was to serve a three-game suspension but a successful appeal launched by the Saints has now seen his red card rescinded and will be eligible to feature in their next game.
In an interview, the English gaffer believes the availability of the Right to Dream Academy graduate will be really malleable for them since they will need him in their subsequent matches.
"Jan Bednarek is back in the squad, and we won our appeal with Kamaldeen, so Kamaldeen is in the squad, which is good news."
Kamaldeen Sulemana will be included in the squad for their visit to Ipswich Town this weekend and will hope to earn his second start of the season.
