Ghanaian attacker Prince Kwabena Adu delivered the decisive moment as Viktoria Plzeň secured a narrow 1-0 away victory over Baník Ostrava in 1. Liga Round 27 at the Městský stadion.
The 22-year-old struck in the 35th minute, finishing off a well-worked move after being set up by Amar Memić, giving Plzeň a vital lead in a tightly contested encounter.
Adu impressed throughout his time on the pitch and was eventually substituted in the 72nd minute after a strong performance, making way for Mohamed Toure as Plzeň focused on preserving their slim advantage. His display earned a solid match rating of 7.6, underlining his influence on the game.
The forward has now registered seven goals and one assist in 25 appearances during the 2025/26 1. Liga season, continuing to play a key role in Plzeň’s push for European qualification.
The result sees Viktoria Plzeň move to third place on the table with 53 points from 30 matches, keeping their top-three ambitions firmly on track. The win also ended a brief dry spell in front of goal after a 0-0 draw with Slavia Prague and a 1-0 defeat to Pardubice in their previous two outings.
