Ghanaian left-back Issaka 'Baba' Seidu has been elevated to the first team of Danish club FC Nordsjælland following a standout performance in the youth setup.
Seidu, who joined Nordsjælland from the renowned Right to Dream Academy in June, spent the initial period with the youth squad in Farum. His impressive displays and potential have now earned him a permanent spot in the senior team, where he will don the number 30 jersey.
Technical Director Alex Riget praised Seidu’s attributes, highlighting his exceptional speed and strength in defensive duels. “We have noticed Baba for a long time, especially his top speed at left back. He is strong in defensive situations and is a valuable asset in our offensive play. We are excited to see him continue to develop at the Superliga level,” Riget said.
Seidu, reflecting on his promotion, expressed his enthusiasm and readiness to contribute to the first team. “It feels really good to be part of the Superliga squad, and I am proud of it. Moving up to the first team is a significant step for a young player like me,” Seidu remarked.
Having been with the Right to Dream Academy since he was 12, Seidu is eager to leverage his familiarity with the team’s style and build on his experience from previous high-profile matches. “I am looking forward to stepping onto the pitch and making both my teammates and the fans proud,” he added.
