The talented teenager of Ghanaian heritage is set to be drafted into the first team ranks of the Bundesliga side following his impressive displays with the U-19 youth team
Bundesliga side FC Köln are ready to induct German-born Ghanaian teenager Justin Diehl into their first team squad for the remainder of the ongoing season, with the man in charge of the dugout role at the RheinEnergieStadion being an avowed admirer of the youngster.
The 18-year-old, who is currently attracting admiring glances from suitors ahead of the summer window, is set to be promoted to the main squad ranks effective this term.
German manager, Steffen Baumgart, who is hell-bent to retain the youngster for many part of the season, has told Express.de of his intentions to ship the prospect into his first team side : "We see a lot of potential in them. I think we can look forward to the future in that regard."
Aside Justin Diehl (18) and German-born Congolese teenager Elias Bakatukanda (18), other youth star players including; Meiko Wäschenbach (19), Max Finkgräfe (18), Tidiane Touré (18), and Damion Downs (18), are expected to make the cut for the first team promotion for the rest of this season's top-flight.
Diehl has so far made 10 league appearances by scoring 5 goals for FC Köln in the ongoing U19 Bundesliga West 22/23 football season.
The Koln-born promising star is still eligible to play for Ghana at the international level despite featuring for the Germany U-16, U-18 & U-19 national youth teams.
