The budding teenage sensation, who had a successful  trials with the Swedish top-flight campaigners, believes he could still link up with them in the nearest future given their everlasting interest in his services as a promising talent

Latvian-based Ghanaian starlet Prince Appiah Amoah has said that joining up with Allsvenskan club Djurgårdens IF still remains possible, with the Blåränderna being told ''with hard work and determination l may be returning to the 3Arena in the not-too-distant future''.

The 18-year-old attacking teenager excelled during his trials with the Swedish Championship side in 2025, but could not land himself a deal at that time due to some circumstances beyond the control of his representatives and the club.

The potential Ghana U20 striker still remains hopeful of playing for the Djurgårdens-based suitors now that he has secured a move to the Latvian First League side FK Metta.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with Kickgh via phone call from his base in Latvia, the MSK Zilina Africa FC product has mentioned that playing in the Swedish top-flight could soon be realized as he just needs to work hard in the Latvia League 1 contest this season.

He told Kickgh.com: ''l went to Djurgårdens lF for trials last season and they had wanted to sign me due to what the technical team saw in me. But because the season was then almost ending, l had to return to Ghana and get myself prepared to go back and sign. Unfortunately, the Swedish football governing body brought up the issue of quotas for foreign players in the league and that led to the collapse of the deal at the last minute of everything.''

He added: ''But now that l have had the opportunity to sign for FK Metta, my agent has told me that they have reached out to him for him to inform me that they will still be monitoring my progress in the league. So right now, all that l have to do is to stay focused and work hard and by doing this, l could surely move to Sweden in the nearest future. My experience with them during my short-time stay at the 3Arena was indeed a memorable one and so l am determined to work hard in order to return one day.''

The budding starlet, who has so far netted 2 goals in 4 friendlies for FK Metta, is yet to make his debut in the league following the Fifa international window.

Prince remains a prospect for the Ghana national football teams given his talent as an upcoming youth player.
