Former Ghana U23 winger Issah Abass made his first-ever appearance for GD Chaves against Estoril Praia in the Portuguese top-tier league on Saturday evening.
GD Chaves were held to a 1-1 home stalemate by Estoril Praia in a match-week eight clash at the Estadio Municipal Manuel Branco.
A first half strike from Hernandez Marrero on the 39th minute was cancelled out by Rodrigo Martinez on the 79th minute to push the fixture into a one-all draw.
Abass was introduced on the 69th minute as replacement for Jonny Arriba to mark his debut for the Portuguese top-flight league outfit.
He joined GD Chaves on a three-year deal after ending his stay with German Bundesliga side FSV Mainz 05.
Abass was part of the Ghana U23 squad that finished fourth place in the 2020 Africa U23 Cup of Nations in Egypt.
