David Atanga received a straight red card for voilent conduct in KV Oostende's 2-1 home defeat to Genk in the Belgium Jupiler Pro League on Saturday.
The mulish Ghanaian winger only came on in the 78th minute and was shown the marching orders in the final seconds of the tough match.
The former Red Bull and Holstein Kiel starlet had a good game in his short time on the pitch, but his performance was overshadowed by his red card.
Atanga, 25, would play no part in his sides next top-flight game, as they travel to Liège to face RFC Seraing on Saturday, October 8, at the Stade du Pairay.
