Ghanaian forward Kwame Sosu Junior has signed a new contract extension with Spanish La Liga side Real Betis Balompié after impressing with the club’s reserve team.
The 20-year-old winger has committed his future to Betis until the summer of 2029, extending his previous agreement which was set to run until 2028.
Sosu Junior expressed his desire to continue developing at the Spanish club after securing the new deal.
“At Betis, I’ve grown a lot, and I want to keep improving.”
Despite the contract extension, the Ghanaian youngster will continue with Real Betis Cantera as he works towards earning a place in the senior team.
The former Accra Desideros player enjoyed a promising campaign last season, making 17 appearances and scoring two goals for Betis Cantera in Primera Federación Group 2.
This season, Sosu Junior has already featured four times for the reserve side in the Segunda Federación Group IV as he continues his development in Spanish football.
Before joining Betis, the talented forward was named the best player in the 2024 Division Two Middle League, a recognition that helped highlight his potential.
The contract extension represents another important step in Sosu Junior’s journey as he aims to break into Real Betis’ first team in the coming years.
