Ghana international Abdul Fatawu Issahaku has been named the winner of the Premier League Creative Moment of the Month award for September after producing a stunning piece of skill against Everton.

The Ipswich Town winger delivered a moment of individual brilliance during their Premier League clash with Everton, beating two opponents with back-to-back nutmegs before almost scoring from inside his own half.

Fatawu took advantage of a loose pass and needed only two touches to send the ball through the legs of Vitalii Mykolenko and James Garner in quick succession.

The Ghanaian then attempted an audacious long-range effort from inside his own half, forcing Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford into action as he pushed the ball wide.

The Premier League described the moment as:

“Two nutmegs for the price of one.”

The award was decided through a combination of fan votes and an expert panel, with Fatawu’s piece of skill beating competition from Martin Zubimendi, Emiliano Buendia, Joao Pedro and Liam Delap.

The achievement marks Fatawu’s first Premier League monthly award and makes him the seventh player to win the Creative Moment of the Month prize since its introduction in January 2026.

The Ghanaian’s latest highlight also brought back memories of his spectacular goal for Leicester City against Ipswich in December 2025, when he produced another memorable individual effort.

After moving from Leicester to Ipswich seven months later, Fatawu has continued to impress with his creativity and flair at Premier League level.

He becomes the first Ipswich player to win a Premier League monthly award since Jens Cajuste claimed the prize in March 2025.
