Dutch-born Ghanaian goalkeeper Paul Peters Reverson has signed a professional contract with Dutch Eredivisie powerhouse Ajax Amsterdam ahead of the 2024–25 season's campaign.

Paul Reverson, who has been attracting interest from top European clubs since last summer, has officially signed a three-year contract with a two-year option of renewal with Ajax after fruitful negotiations earlier this month.

The 19-year-old shot-stopper was offered a long-term contract by Ajax amid interest from several clubs in the ongoing summer transfer window.

The club's official statement reads: “Ajax has signed Paul Reverson. The 19-year-old goalkeeper signed a three-season contract until June 30, 2027, with an option to extend for two additional years.”

Reverson rose through the ranks of Ajax after arriving at the club at age eight and has been promoted to the club's U23 team for the upcoming season.

He played for the Ajax U18 team last season and made 26 league appearances.

Reverson was born to Ghanaian parents in Amsterdam, which makes him eligible to represent either Ghana or the Netherlands in the future.
