On Saturday, 10th June 2023, Ghanaian young forward Patrick Agyemang climbed off the bench to score his debut goal for Charlotte FC against Seattle Sounders FC in the Major League Soccer.
A 89th minute header from Agyemang rescued Charlotte FC from home defeat to Seattle Sounders FC at the Bank of America Stadium.
The 22-year-old beautifully connected Nathan Byrne's cross delivered into the box of Seattle Sounders to snatch an important home draw for his side.
Agyemang, who was signed via the MLS SuperDraft in December 2022, was introduced on 75th minute as replacement for Benjamin Bender. His compatriot Derrick Jones enjoyed the entire duration of the game while Harrison Afful warmed the bench for Charlotte FC.
He was was the 12th overall pick in the 2023 MLS SuperDraft after scoring 19 goals and provided 12 assists for University of Rhode Island.
Agyemang is yet to represent Ghana at any level.
