On Monday at Stade de Geneve, Ernest Opoku, a young Ghanaian player, scored two goals to help his team, AZ Alkmaar U19, win the UEFA Youth League title with a 5-0 victory over HNK Hajduk U19.

 

Jayden Addai, another Ghanaian player, also scored in the match, which was completely dominated by AZ Alkmaar. Addai opened the scoring from a penalty in the 45th minute after Opoku won it for the team.

Opoku then scored two goals in six minutes in the 70th minute to take the game away from Hajduk. Mexx Meerdink scored the other two goals, one in the 79th minute and the other in the 87th minute, to complete the score.

The victory was a comfortable one for AZ Alkmaar, who outplayed their Croatian opponents.

In the UEFA Youth League, Opoku has scored eight goals in nine games, while Addai has scored four goals in eight matches.
