Losing six points in a possible nine from your last three outings, is equivalent to two loses, and has thrown Arsenal's chances of ending their long drought of having their hands gripped on the Premier League title in a huge limbo.
But, Ghana midfielder, Thomas Partey has reiterated it isn't over and is possible they could pick all three maximum points at the Etihad Stadium on Wednesday and will have to play their hearts out to achieve that triumph.
The Gunners gave away a two goal lead to draw at Liverpool, it was a similar issue with West Ham United at the Olympic Stadium in London before coming from behind to draw 3-3 with Southampton over the weekend at the Emirates Stadium.
The recent six-goal thrilling draw saw Gabriel Martinelli scoring in between the Soton goals before late on target strikes from skipper Martin Ordegaard and Bukayo Saka rescued the current Premier League leaders from their fourth season defeat.
The dynamics look really complicated at the moment as Mikel Arteta and his charges as it stands, will have to beat Manchester City at their own backyard to maintain their brighter league-winning chances or hope their direct contenders will drop points in their remaining fixtures.
Thomas Partey prior to the game, has admitted it will be really a tedious task but is very optimistic with the right mentality and strong approach, they will be able to fulfill that. He was quoted by top tabloid Daily Mail;
"I think everything depends on us - we have to go [to City] with the mentality to play football and plays we know. And, in the end, we have to try and win."
"We have to approach it as a game in that we do everything that we did from the beginning of the season and I am sure we can win if we do that."
"It's normal that we feel frustrated after Friday as we could have done better. We worked so hard during the week for the game."
"We cannot put our heads down because now is not the time to drop heads. We have to keep on fighting, we have to keep on pushing and in the end, we will get better results."
The all important fixture, the top of table clash is slated for 1900GMT (7:00pm) on Wednesday, April 26, 2023, at the Etihad Stadium.
