Ghanaian young striker Nathaniel Opoku ended his 2022/23 season at OH Leuven with third consecutive goal in their home win over Standard Liege on Sunday evening.
OH Leuven recorded a 3-2 home victory over Standard Liege in their last game of the season at the King Power Stadium.
The 21-year-old opened the score for the White lads with a fine strike on the 43rd minute of the game.
Ten minutes after the break, Steven Alzate restored the parity but two quick goals from Jon Dagur Thorsteinsson was enough to secure OH Leuven all the needed points despite a 91st minute goal from Filippo Melegoni.
The Ghanaian international enjoyed 90 minutes of the game but he was substituted by Nachon Nsingi. Emmanuel Toku also came off the bench in the dying embers for OH Leuven.
Opoku scored three goals and provided an assist in his seven appearances for OH Leuven.
Opoku is currently on loan at OH Leuven from English Premier League side Leicester City. He joined the English side on a long-term contract during the January transfer window.
