On Saturday in the Serbia Super Liga, Ghanaian winger Osman Bukari scored a hat-trick in 28 minutes to help Red Star Belgrade to a 4-1 home win against Backa Topola in the Round of 31 games.
Ifet Dakovac opened the scoring for the visitors with a spot-kick just 20 minutes into the match. However, Bukari equalized for the home side just before the interval, and then put them ahead with a well-taken goal in the 61st minute.
Guelor Kanga made it 3-1 in the 69th minute before Bukari completed his hat-trick 15 minutes later to seal the win. This was the Ghanaian forward's second hat-trick of the season, and he has scored 11 goals and provided five assists in 25 games so far.
The victory means Red Star Belgrade are now top of the league standings with 85 points. Bukari was part of the Ghanaian squad that played at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
