Black Stars lateral, Alidu Seidu has been adjudged French Ligue 1 side Stade Rennais FC's best player of the month for September and was announced earlier today by the club on their various socials.
The 26-year-old clinched this accolade which will definitely serve as a huge motivation for him following his stupendous performance in the month under review.
Alidu beat off competition from teammates Ludovic Blas and Arnaud Kalimuendo in a voting that was conducted by the supporters.
The bulky defender featured in all matches they played in the said month and earned an impressive ratings of 7.1 and 7.0 against Montpellier and RC Lens.
In his last game in the month, he made a stunning 8.0 rating against champions PSG over the weekend, all according to Sofascore.
With 10 blocks so far this season, he is the sixth highest in the Ligue 1 and has the most interceptions.
Alidu Seidu will hope for another starting berth when they host AS Monaco this weekend, and is expected to make coach Otto Addo's squad for the Sudan double header next month in the 2025 AFCON qualifiers.
